About the Foundation
The Irma J. and Orville Parker Foundation was established in 2003. It was the desire of the Mr. and Mrs. Parker that the Foundation be used exclusively for charitable purposes.
Guidelines
Funding Priorities:
In making grants, the trustees shall first consider worthwhile charitable projects or requests for funds to be utilized for the benefit of the:
- Northern Michigan Hospital Foundation of Petoskey, Michigan
- The Salvation Army
- The American Red Cross
- The Boys Scouts of America
Geographic Focus:
The Irma J. and Orville Parker Foundation has generally restricted its funding to organizations located or operating in Lake County, Florida.

Eligibility Requirements:
The Trustees shall consider all qualified applications received from organizations that are exempt from taxation under the Internal revenue Code Sections 501 (c) (3) and 509.
Grant Cycle and Deadline Information:
The Foundation’s trustees meet annually in December. November 1st is the deadline for submitting grant proposals to be considered at the annual meeting.
Grant Range:
The average grant size is between $2,500 – $10,000.
